Visual Page Editor is a Chrome extension that lets you visually edit the web page you are currently viewing and download the result as a single HTML file. This page explains, in plain terms, what the extension does and does not do with your information.
The extension collects no data. Nothing you do is tracked, stored on a server, or sent anywhere. Everything happens locally in your own browser.
None. Visual Page Editor does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, browsing history, page content, or usage data. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.
The extension does nothing until you click its toolbar icon. When you do, it injects an editing toolbar into the page you are currently viewing so you can move, resize, and restyle elements. All editing happens on your own device.
When you choose to save, the edited page is assembled in your browser and downloaded to your computer's Downloads folder as a single HTML file. That file never leaves your machine through the extension.
The extension requests only two permissions, both used solely to provide the editing feature:
activeTab — lets the editor load into the single tab you are
viewing, and only after you click the extension's icon. It is not used to
read any other tab.
scripting — lets the extension insert its own editor script
and stylesheet into that tab. All code is bundled inside the extension; no
remote or externally hosted code is loaded.
None. The extension does not use third-party services, servers, or software development kits, and shares no data with anyone.
